Garbage product from a brand avoided for a reason (action feels like a screwdriver scraping concrete - pitiful ejector as well) - ended up selling it at a minor loss and getting a Bergara - if you're thinking about this rifle - DONT - get a Bergara and put it in an MDT chassis

Shit action that feels like a dragging a screwdriver on concrete - at least shot accurate - got rid of it right away and bought a Bergara put it in a MDT Oryx - AVOID this manufacturer it has a shit reputation for a reason.
Incredible firearm
I've about 40 rounds of ammo down range. I used Nosler 140 grain ballistic tipped part # 40064 and Hornady Whitetail 129 grain soft point. At an indoor range at a true 100 yards, using a Vortex Diamondback DBK-10027 4-16 x 44 EBR-2C MRAD reticle with First Focal Plane, I was able to zero this with 5 rounds. Both types of ammo fed great in the 10 round magazine it came with and the 5 round Magpul magazine I purchased.
I did not see a difference in grouping switching between the ammo nor did I have to make any adjustments to the optic.
It is a heavy rifle, but it's supposed to be. This makes the recoil feel very much like shooting an AR chambered in 5.56. You can shoot this thing all day without feeling beat up.
The trigger is very clean and breaks nicely. I didn't have to adjust it from the factory setting.
For a bipod, I used UTG's Recon Flex M-LOK(R). This bipod fit the M-LOK rail perfectly. Shooting with this bipod was great. No issues whatsoever.
The only very minor gripe is that the QD attachment on the stock does not fit Magpul's QD sling swivel. The Magpul's will fit inside the hole but will not lock up, meaning that with very little effort, the QD swivel will pull out. This could be a Magpul thing or a Savage thing. I've read some Magpul swivels do this, so I'd lean toward it being a Magpul issue. My cheap Sanfee QD swivels (amazon) lock up tight in the QD attachment on the stock and cannot be pulled out unless the button on the swivel is pressed.
Overall, this is an amazing rifle. When I purchased this rifle, Dahlonega Armory had the best price I could find on the internet. Ordering through them was a breeze. Buyer should purchase with confidence through them. They shipped fast too.
