Taurus Tracker 992 22 LR/22 Magnum 6.5 In 9-Round Blued

My 1st new Taurus but have shot the Tracker in LR before. Like the LR option for cheap target practice and WMR for more power / range. Know that the finish is matte black oxide as shown in pictures, not blued as in description. Checked a number of online gun stores and some have possibly outdated pictures showing what looks like a traditional glossy blued finish. When registering warranty the serial number pulls up the correct UPC and description, which all match the factory box label. Finish doesn't show fingerprints or glare but does show any excess lubrication around crane release button, hammer, ejector, etc. Not a deal breaker but would have been nice to know upfront. Black oxide finish is decent but there are some noticeably sharp edges on various machined surfaces. Some descriptions elsewhere online state rear sights are outlined in white, mine were not. Easily remedied with a little white-out if so desired. That being said, finish overall is pretty good, although "Tracker" etching on left side of barrel is rather faint. The LR and WMR cylinders change out easily and quickly if properly aligned, with close tolerances and good lockup of mating surfaces. Fit is very good but trigger pull out of the box is stiff, will have to see if it loosens up, can't imagine shooting double action for at least the first couple hundred rounds and a cleaning or two, perhaps some dry lube as well. Hammer strike likewise very strong, feels heavier than any of my other larger caliber revolvers, but at least there shouldn't be any FTF from light strikes. Will update review after some range time.
